The Italian Castellani family looked to the ancient craftsmen to inspire their jewellery. Our sparkling weave collection taking their name, is similarly part revival in its inspiration, micro-mosaics, and mix of traditional techniques from velvets to jacquards to epingle, but also part innovation, exploring new loom constructions and inventive ways to bring you texture and pattern. A lustrous pile, and construction reminiscent of the extraordinarily successful Nabucco design, the smaller scale makes this mosaic weave fabric a very versatile prospect. Highly durable, an ideal fabric for upholstery, and now available in two new soft grey versions.
The fabric Castellani - Noir - F1938/04 by Designers Guild, composed of 46% Viscose, 36% Cotton, 18% Polyester, has a width of 140 cms and weighs 480 g/m². The horizontal repeat is 1 cms, the vertical repeat is 1 cms.
